He added that the Students’ Leaders will have a workshop/training which will be put together by the Students’ Affairs and the Centre for Information, Press and Public Relations very soon.👆The Vice Chancellor passionately counselled the Students’ Leaders to eschew the use of “I” and go for “WE”…” …you need not to promote individualism…we are not interested in your politics but we are interested in what is RIGHT… throw away the individual agenda. Operate as ONE BODY and you will surely enjoy yourselves very well. We 💕 love you, we want to work with you, we will work with you, we will not allow you to truncate the PEACE we enjoy at the University.” The VC said.
👆The Acting, Dean Students’ Affairs Dr. Oluwafemi Obayori equally corroborated the Vice Chancellor’s statements and added that “…you must not embrace the concept of individualism i.e the use of I, I, I…but WE”. The ADSA commended the Brilliant Members of the University Management for always being ready to listen to them.
Before the meeting came to a close, the Vice Chancellor said “…we will continue to enforce our rules and regulations. On dress code, we don’t tell students what to wear, but, we tell them what NOT to wear. Let us sensitise ourselves as students’ leaders, sensitise your constituency too…we have told our security operatives there should be no physical assault on our world class students.”
👆At the Breakfast meeting, it was mentioned by the Representative of the Chief Security Officer; Mr. Edu that the Security Department of the University now has a Unit called “FEMALE GENDER PROTECTION”.
